Aroma Rocks ... the Brain
A full decade ago, essential oils were found to have something very rare — a pass key through the body's blood/brain barrier boosting life-giving oxygen saturation around the pineal and pituitary, those master endocrine glands in the limbic brain where aroma rules.
Even if you didn't grasp the terminology in the above, it essentially means that aroma increases oxygen saturation in the body. This reason alone behooves use of the purest essential oils available — lest dangerous additives piggy-back along to chemically sabotage these pivotal hormone producers.
As for oil quality, I can say that Young Living's essential oils do have a high and very pure count of oxygenating molecules as evidenced by gas-chromatograph (GC) interpretation for each batch from four seperate labs, hence their designaton — therapeutic grade essential oils.
If other companies follow the same procedures then they may be able to achieve the high terpenoid count (oxygenation) that YLEOs possess. However, any deviation from this proven method at any step increases the liklihood the molecules will fracture too soon to be of therapeutic use. Exploring another line, likely with far less variety, once convinced of the purity, quality and integrity at YLEO seems unnecessary.
